To protect his parade tunic the Bass Drummer wears a long, white apron which can be made either from white leather... cloth... or, in more modern times, white PVC.
By his left side the Drummer rests the large Bass Drum decorated with the hand-painted regimental crest and scroll of Battle Honours.
